I'm switching to this from VLC and MPC + codecpacks! Doesn't need external splitters running and eating memory/MHz. Awesome on old PC, superb on new gear.

Best:

Very efficient program. on an obsolete PC (400MHz Pentium2) it plays mkv better than than MPC with latest matroska. MPC lags like crazy, SMP pulls off!
Extremely flexible - Ctrl+C and no problems! Alot of flawless menu browsing while pulling subtitled mkv on my country house old PC =]

Worst:

a loud millisecond on opening audio stream/launching filters.. but it's just my ears are too sensitive even for sound quality. And a kickass studio headphone =]
